"Venetian Dualism"

Venice is a city of contradictions. It demands attention; every alley and square inspires awe and wonder.
Despite the slow pace of movement, the impatience of daily life pushes one to experience the city frantically.
Rushing through the alleys, one perceives only shapes, colors, and murmurs; a quick, fleeting, partial, and hurried vision of Venice.
It is a place where there is a correspondence between the rectangular nature of forms and the anarchy of the water, which disdains the notion of form.

The lagoon's inhabitants crowd the city's canals and traverse the same streets as people, creating a surreal reality in Venice, populating the alleys submerged by water.
"It has the face of a door"

When experiencing the architecture of Venice, one often no longer feels alone but surrounded by the gaze of buildings as if by familiar people.
Thus, in the contrast of the marbles, one discovers the profiles of bodies; and the doors along the canals that open onto the water appear like open mouths; you then realize that the eyes on the facade of a church – pierced in those two points by a dark bifora window – are scrutinizing you from afar.
“The Fog”

The atmosphere traps time and space in the visual and physical filter of the fog.
The impression of the city remains when the eye closes.
“Briccola”

With its verticality, the bricola breaks the continuous Venetian horizon, a furrow that separates the sea from the sky.
“Stencil”

A fragment of a Venetian doorway.
The worn material retains gestures, presences, and urban memory – minimal traces of identity and passage.

When the salty air brushes against the walls like a persistent presence, every surface becomes a reason to mark its passage.
A faint voice rises, a hiss that whispers of wanting to be remembered, in a dense and sulfurous atmosphere that covers the skin of things like a thin film.
The few surviving indentations, from a bygone era, tell us of a surface carved by the Venetian bora wind.
“Venice Vortex”

In the Venetian landscape, whirlpools are silent and essential presences.
They appear in every canal and every rio, as soon as one's gaze surrenders to the perpetual motion of the lagoon.
Small vortices of water that seem to whisper the city's most intimate secret.

We are used to walking with our heads held high, to admiring the splendid panorama that surrounds Venice, to listening to the sound of the waves breaking on the shore, the same waves that bring to the surface a hidden part of the seabed.
"Walls like paper"

The walls crumble under the action of salt.
Moisture spreads the paint into halos, blurring the outlines of the buildings.
Nature works through corrosion, rejecting human efforts and casting restorations back into the arms of salinity.
Like paper, the walls tear, yielding to the echo of the sea.
"Venice that breathes"
Unlimited X Academy of Fine Arts
The breath of Venice erodes and marks the walls of its houses, where material slowly wears away and detaches.
"Space and atmosphere"

Bridges, canals and alleys, an endless, ever-moving weave.
"Salty air"
Unlimited X Academy of Fine Arts
Salt is the language of time.
It constantly rewrites Venice with a patient, daily, inevitable trace. Salt, a testament to the infinite dialogue between the city and water, settles like a light caress on the skin of things and makes their memory visible.
“Liquid patchwork”

That great fish lying on the water: Venice.
Noble stone scales and shimmering canals reflect the historic frenzy that pulses above and below the surface.
Every corner is a sestiere that reveals the missing piece of the great architectural mosaic covered in water.
